There has been a huge increase in online shopping and Ebates is the go to place to save some extra money. Find out if it will work for you.

 

Chances are if you have seen an online deal here at The Thrifty Green Mom you have seen me talk about Ebates. Ebates is one of my favorite sites I have discovered since I started doing some online shopping a few years ago. I still love some other sites as well but they have definitely gone above and beyond to be as user friendly as possible over the last year so I would without a doubt give them the #1 spot.

The big question, what is Ebates all about?

Ebates is one of many sites online that offers online shipping discounts in the form of cash rebates. The amount of rebate depends on the store you are shopping at. Each shopping website offers a certain rebate based on their agreement with Ebates. Bottom line what it means is if you are already shopping online you can earn a percentage of that back with a check in the mail. There are HUNDREDS of Ebates stores that you can use. The amount that you get back at stores will change from time to time. For example Old Navy usually offers 2% cash back but for a special sale or offer they could offer 8% cash back. It’s not a huge amount of money but it adds up and it’s nice to get a $40 check in the mail here and there with money back you were already spending anyway.

The amount that you get back can vary from 1% back all the way up to 40% back so using Ebates online rebates really isn’t a bad deal! Here’s how you set up your account:
