They are finally in… a little late. A little head cold got in my way. But finally my top 3 favorites for saving money in 2013. Since all of you shop different ways I actually changed it up a little this year. I have for the online shopper, offline shopper and both!
My #1 pick is for the offline shopper. It skyrocketed above the competition this year and continues to blow my money saving mind! It is Ibotta. One requirement for Ibotta you need a smartphone. It doesn’t matter what kind it works with Iphone or Android. I think their tagline says it best…. cash, not coupons. Not all of you are couponers but all of you are in to saving money and this handy app does it for both of you. Money back for the non-couponers and many times making items a money maker for you couponers.
Ibotta gives you cash back for certain items. that you purchase. You can find a full explanation of Ibotta here.
What’s even cooler is Ibotta has expanded beyond groceries. It’s moved to movie theaters, home improvements stores and restaurants too. While it used to be just for bigger stores such as Target and WalMart it’s not expanded to many of the local grocery stores. If you haven’t tried out Ibotta… it’s a must. Grab it here. You get cash back right in your Paypal account – gotta love it.
My # 2 pick has nothing to do with shopping except that it will give you some extra money – Swagbucks! Swagbucks actually paid for most of my Christmas this year and I am not alone. The site has been around for years and you can get a full rundown here- (using Swagbucks). While it’s not too technical what Swagbucks does is reward you for doing a few actions a day. What I like is it’s not time consuming. If you have time to check Facebook you have time to use it. Those rewards add up and you can redeem them for different things. My favorite being Amazon giftcards. While there are many different giftcards to choose from along with other things Swagbucks makes it really easy to earn a little extra money just for being online. They actually have an app now too!
I actually make Swagbucks part of my daily schedule. I sign in each day answer their daily poll and do a couple of other things. It takes about 5 mins and I add up their rewards. There are some of their special offers too that can be great money makers. I also have a new way you can earn Swagbucks coming soon!! If your not using Swagbucks yet go ahead and get started here. Who knows, you could have your Christmas shopping paid for too.
# 3 is for the online shopper. I have used this site for a few years but it came on my top 3 this year because of some changes they have made. Improvements I would say. It is much more user friendly and has put it out in front of all of the competition. If you are shopping online there is no reason not to be taking advantage of the rewards that are out there. The best site to do that in my opinion is Ebates!
You can follow my post on how to set it up here.
With no more time than it’s already taking you to shop you can earn a percentage back of your purchase depending on what the rebate is at the store you are shopping at. Even big stores like Walmart and Target are included. When you are ready you simply login to your account and click send me a check. It’s so easy to use. Click here to sign up for Ebates.
So there’s your top 3 of 2013. All of them money saving or money making but none are time consuming which is exactly what we all need.
