If you are not familiar CVS you will need have one of their loyalty cards which is called an Extra Care card. This card will come in handy for most sales and is essential if you want to save money shopping at CVS. When you go to check out your item regular price $6.99 they will simply swipe your loyalty card and you will get $3 in what are called extra care bucks to use on your next purchase. You can either hold onto them for next week’s sale or you can do multiple transactions. What this means if you would purchase your first package of diapers and get your $3 in rewards back. You would then do another transaction following the same steps but when it’s time to pay give them the $3 in rewards you just got from the previous package.
There are many ways you can save shopping at CVS and many other drugstores but the key at CVS is definitely your loyalty card and the rewards you earn.
You will also earn coupons at the register with your purchase that you may be able to use later. You are able to what is called “stack” those coupons with manufacturer’s coupons (if you aren’t sure what stacking is that’s ok, I will explain that in my couponing basics series – How To Save Money Couponing Without Going Crazy – that will begin in August.
If this is your first CVS adventure go ahead and sign up for their loyalty card and I will cover the rest of the tips in the series. Go grab yourselves some diapers and if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below! [/wp-fontastic]
